Breakaway backspace plate design
The Bauer Lite plate is designed to support both full and split-backspace options without the normal compromises of your switch being crooked from the lack of proper support. We achieved this with a unique breakaway plate design. By default, the plate supports split-backspace, but just break off the center support with some pliers to use full-backspace!

Plastic parts are made via injection molding, which has the possibility to have small defects that include flow lines, weld lines, warping, sink marks, and jetting.
Lightweight and fun to assemble! The colors are so unique and fun to pair with different sets. Grabbed an IRL Edition off eBay and loved it so much that I've since grabbed Atomic, Rouge and Seafoam as well! Eyeing up Cosmo next and hoping that someday we get a bright green like the old Donkey Kong N64!
I was an absolute novice but really wanted a Keyboard to match the Atomic Purple keycaps I found. While sharing with folks on Reddit I was introduced to the Bauer Lite and took the leap. For me it was like building Legos as a child!

it’s a really great board. the build experience was super fast, the sound quality is amazing. made in the USA. customer service is very responsive if you have any questions. lots of great sound tests on YouTube.

Great first board! Fun to build, the guide booklet is easy to understand. Loving the aesthetics of the atomic colorway.
This board is a bit overpriced. The 7u only option makes it a bit harder to use if you’re a Mac user.
The thing that really killed me was the standoffs on the pcb. They were such a pain in the butt to install. I couldn’t get both the top off screw and the one under the pcb to be perfectly flush because the standoff seems a bit short.
I wanted to like this, I really did. But honestly I'm just disappointed and feel like I wasted money.
The switches for the elongated backspace don't feel securely in there. It's incredibly difficult to find keycaps I want with a 7u spacebar option and if they do, they're not ones I like but that's more of a personal preference so I don't blame the keyboard itself too much for that, just an odd design choice imo.
What sealed the deal for me though was I found a complete wireless, hot swappable dark purple translucent keyboard on amazon with backlighting that cost less than this and even if it doesn't have a polycarbonate plate I think it'll make me happier unfortunately.
Idk if I can return it because I've already put this together but if I could, I would, and frankly I wouldn't recommend it.
Not a bad board at all, a bit expensive for what you get. I would have like more layout options and LED options. I also got the Ghost but not the Ghost rubber bits which was odd.
