This board is a bit overpriced. The 7u only option makes it a bit harder to use if you’re a Mac user.

The thing that really killed me was the standoffs on the pcb. They were such a pain in the butt to install. I couldn’t get both the top off screw and the one under the pcb to be perfectly flush because the standoff seems a bit short.

Kind of underwhelmed and disappointed

I wanted to like this, I really did. But honestly I'm just disappointed and feel like I wasted money.
The switches for the elongated backspace don't feel securely in there. It's incredibly difficult to find keycaps I want with a 7u spacebar option and if they do, they're not ones I like but that's more of a personal preference so I don't blame the keyboard itself too much for that, just an odd design choice imo.
What sealed the deal for me though was I found a complete wireless, hot swappable dark purple translucent keyboard on amazon with backlighting that cost less than this and even if it doesn't have a polycarbonate plate I think it'll make me happier unfortunately.
Idk if I can return it because I've already put this together but if I could, I would, and frankly I wouldn't recommend it.

Not bad

Not a bad board at all, a bit expensive for what you get. I would have like more layout options and LED options. I also got the Ghost but not the Ghost rubber bits which was odd.

There are other better keyboards in this price range or cheaper that are aluminum but if you want a good quality polycarbonate keyboard, this is the best one currently available. I purchased the "vintage" ghost just for the green PCB and it's nice to see through the case. If you like how the keyboard looks and the polycarbonate case, this is great. However, I wish the internal weight is available.

This is my 3rd Bauer Lite and was specifically purchased to fit my X-Ray keycaps - I wanted the full see-through build to show off the internals. The green throwback pcb was great with contrasting gold imprints/logos that peek through and add that extra touch. I took 1 star off because they advertise this as coming with a ‘distressed’ box to complete the vintage aesthetic, but in reality it’s just a regular Ghost box that they kicked around the shop floor a few times - I have a regular Ghost box and the only difference is some rather poor scratches so it’s very much a gimmick.

Exceeds my expectations

Exceptional, feels good, sounds good, has a nice heft to it. Pretty easy to build. Looks fantastic on my desk and is a joy to type on. I put some crazy bumpy funky tactile heavies in there and typing is exhilarating. Sound is so deep and bassy. Now I wanna build one for my partner. 10/10 great keyboard.

Love My Bauer Lite

It is my favorite board right now! Extremely fun to build, and the build guide is awesome. I love the way it sounds! Currently paired with HMX Xhinhai’s and GMK Dual Shot

ORANGE GANG 4 LIFE

Ever since my friend Graham told me about this keyboard I waited all summer and was checking the website everyday for this to drop. Now that I have it it's never leaving my side. It's going to be with me at work, school, home, and if I play my cards right at gaming conventions.

Good board overall but I was honestly expecting a little more from the plastic, especially considering you don’t even get stabs with the kit. It feels pretty cheap, kind of like a nerf gun. Not a big deal though.

Punches way above its price. Great for hobbyists new and old.

This board really surprised me even though it has been majorly hyped within the mechanical keyboard space. For the price I kept my expectations tempered, but in the end I was pleasantly surprised. Sound, feel, and aesthetics are all fantastic with this board and it has been a joy to tinker with and use. I would highly recommend it to anyone who has been into hobby for a long time or someone that is just starting out. The build guide manual was easy to follow and had great illustrations to take you through the build process.

Now, I would like to note a few things about this board to give feedback and regards to my personal experience. None of the things I will mention are deal breakers by any means but are a culmination of my experiences and observations with this board. I also understand that certain sacrifices had to be made to be able to sell this board at this incredible price point, and it is generally unfair to compare this board to others that are 2x-5xs as expensive.

1. Although this board is not hard to build by any means, I wouldn't say that I love the assembly/disassembly process for this board. Upon my first assembly, I had a difficult time with the taco and donut bumpers staying in place and ensuring they were lined up correctly. I also don't love the way the bottom and the top pieces **** into each other with their deeply recessed **** holes. With the disassembly and reassembly process being a bit more tedious, I have found myself more hesitant on taking it apart and changing out switches/foams than I do with most of my other boards.

2. The top case at the center of the board under the spacebar is not fastened to the bottom case by anything . Every time I pick this board up from the center, I can feel the top case moving/bending a significant bit which is not nice. If you pick it up from the sides you do not get this experience, but it's an area of the board that I wish was secured so this did not happen. I bought this board with the weight and I have not used it without it yet so I believe this may be because of the added weight to the board.

3. The spacing between the top case and the first row of keycaps at the top of the board feels a little too tight. Keycaps do not rub against the top case of the board, but because the space between them is really tight it makes removing keycaps from this board a little bit harder than it should. With enough finessing you can get the keycaps off just fine, but this is one of the first boards that I experienced having a harder time removing keycaps from.

In conclusion, this is a great board and I would highly recommend it to anyone. I plan on getting another one in the near future in a different color because I love it so much. Great job on this one Omnitype team. You knocked it out of the park.
